X macro vs x macro tacops.
The big selling points on the Xmacro for me are the grip size, capacity, reduced recoil and familiarity. It definitely shoots like a bigger heavier gun. I don't get any wrist fatigue after 200-300 rounds at the range like I did with my regular p365. The grip size is a really nice balance of capacity and usability.
The P365 XL has a more compact grip than 43x MOS by about 1/4" which makes a difference for concealability. I'm a 43x MOS guy (hence why I am on this sub) but because the magazine doesn't fit flush the grip is just long. Add an optic to it and the height of 43x is a lot. The reason for this is due to the metal frame and coating, it makes the rail on the AXG version just wide enough that it will not fit in the X-Macro Holsters. Recoil is a lot softer on the ported slide vs the macro comped slide. Ported you get better recoil reduction performance and a longer barrel. The P365 X-MACRO has a longer slide, barrel, and expanded grip module, which provides more space and better handling, whereas the P365 XL has a more compact construction. Both guns are excellent choices for concealed carry and personal protection, and the final decision is based on personal taste and intended use.

I ended up trading my Macro Comp slide and barrel for an X Macro slide and barrel. The slide for the Macro Comp is the same length as the XL. The Barrel in the Macro Comp is shorter, i.e., the same as the standard P365. I ended up sending the X Macro top and another XL half to MagnaPort and in just over a week and them back...
Hiding grip length is my only real issue when concealing. I'd love a macro slide on a 12 round grip module. Tacops gets you a magwell, extended slide release, and 2 more mags (4 total). Mags are $50-60, SIG must be proud of them! I went for the Tacops version after shooting only the comp version but other P365xl. My main draw was the extra mags and longer sight radius, which doesn't really matter if you run an optic.Features.
