New holland 648 round baler problems.
Bought a nh 648 round baler with net wrap, the problem I am having is the knife on the net wrap isn't going down far enough to cut the wrap and everything is free and moved good, I added some weight to the knife so it will drop down and now it will cut bout every 3 times but when I lift the tailgate the knife won't come back up so gotta get out every bale and lift the knife back up.

Best thing you can do is weld new bars on the dimpled rollers. If you look at yours you will probably find that the edges are rounded off. Those are what grabs the hay and gets it rolling. Also baling with dew helps, most all problems I ever had with my Deere 567 was when crop was totally bone dry. Would rip net, and send it to top roller.
