Aug 17, 2023 · There are 3 Majestics. Colonial is the older section (mostly family) but has been renovated in the past few years. Elegance is 2nd oldest and will in fact close for renovations shortly. I assume you are looking at the Colonial Club section. Cause it would also have a private beach area for Club members. Have been to the Majestic Elegance and Bavaro Princess. Both are great resorts but we are returning to the Majestic for trip #5 this winter. BP is a large resort - need a tram to get to the front lobby area most of the time.

The club set ups at the two are different. Elegance has three very distinct club pools, bars, and lounges. Colonial only has one lounge and it's pools are more narrow and run more like a lazy creek perpendicular to the beach. ME has two club pools with beach views and the third has a swim up bar.
