It makes the screen look much larger but doesn't bother my eyes or give me a headache (the 2.0 gives me a headache). And, if its relevant, I don't normally use reading glasses for books or my phone, just my switch and now steam deck. Darkest dungeon on the switch had text that was just small enough that the 1.25 glasses were a life saver!

I do know (roughly) the difference in general but of course it all depends on how any given game makes actual use of the DX features. If you use none of the DX11 ones then going to DX11 from DX9 won't make any difference visually.
