Just a simple novel from a simple perspective about simple hatred and simple faith. Yet despite that, it's beautiful, moving, and a worthy character study of the 'good man' in Atticus Finch.The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe. Actually 4 books (Shadow of the Torturer, Claw of the Conciliator, Sword of the Lictor, and The Citadel of the Autarch), but its the peak of fantasy/sci-fi, IMO. Much more dense and rewarding than most of the standard sc-fi and fantasy authors you regularly see on this sub.
