The normal timelines are only good for the t1 blessings and some nonspecific loot. But you barely find so much useful items. Now with empowered, the game starts making fun again, because the difficulty ramps up to be challenging and the rewards are getting good (better chances, better quest echo rewards, better boss loot, better bkessings).

Go to end of time and walk into the monolith and manually use the first teleport to any of the lvl 90 timelines then walk into the crystal and you should be able to see the cutscene and unlock the timelines. I just get bored a few timelines in. I'm currently pushing a build to try and reach empowered, just to see them once and be able to farm uniques from higher timelines (I want to try that bowmage build), but it just takes forever. The worst part is the only measure of progress is number of completed monoliths, not your build's performance.
