Bg3 bladelock. Things To Know About Bg3 bladelock.

If you keep Wyll as a Bladelock, having Mobile is a great way to increase his mobility, allowing him to get around the battlefield more easily. Additionally, Wyll can make an attack and then run away, which will help him live longer since he is squishier than a Fighter, Barbarian, or Paladin.I think the biggest winners of the haste change are hybrid casters, which basically means bladelock and sword bard—being able to attack twice and then cast a spell makes full use of both actions without burning spell slots like crazy. For bladelock I’d lean toward a reach weapon so you can stay out of that ranger when casting EB/scorching ray. Bladelock honestly doesn't fit the concept as neatly as the other two imo, but it has the advantage of only needing Charisma since you can use it for both skills and attacking. That's basically it tho, nothing else about Warlock really leans into this concept. Lastly, a note on Fighter: They kinda lose the charismatic aspect completely. I did some math and I think between my two weapon choices and my useage of Pact of the Blade, Dueling is better for me on paper (Around 6~18 vs 5~18 minus proficiency bonus) but I also heard that GWF works with my smites. Most importantly though, I'm curious if it's worth giving up the adamantine shield for more damage or not. Using a great ...

Wyll is supposed by Lore and character to be a Pact of the Blade Warlock, also commonly called a Bladelock. BUT, since the Pact of the Blade is not yet implemented, and there's only the Pact of the Chain(wich is the one that gives you the Imp familiar), then even tho he is the "Blade of the Frontier", he sucks at it.Guides. Changelog for the build. This character will make an excellent face, a very good controller, a good scout and a surprisingly good damage dealer. It however requires a very good understanding of all spell mechanics and is probably not a good choice if you're new to the genre. Lore bardlocks are insane with action economy, you'll use ...ADMIN MOD. 1st playthrough, Pure Bladelock for Lifedrinker or Multi-class? This is my first playthrough, and I'm a level 4 Bladelock right now. I even have Wyll as a Level 4 Bladelock. But now, I was thinking of Multiclassing for things like proficiencies, or smites, or fighting styles. I chose a Zeref (if I spelled that right) Tiefling and the ...

So with the news on how Pact of the Blade will work and Wyll seeming to be an interesting Origin character, I was thinking of playing him according to the topic. I have not played EA at all so I was just wondering how long it takes to get to level 4, and if Bards in general have interesting interactions I would miss out on if I wait until then to take my …Wyll Bladelock (Possible) Four Hit Build. SPOILER because of weapon mentions idk. I am running Wyll as a straight warlock with blade of the pact. I am using the feats Dual Wielder and Great Weapon Master. With how Bg3 is, and with you wanting only a dip and not full-blown multiclass the only options I see are Fighter1/Warlock11, Cleric1/Warlock11, Pala2/Warlock10. So unlike in real 5e where you have to explain to your DM how you can totally reload while dual wielding crossbows (even with CBE, youre going to have to justify how you loaded the crossbow when both hands are occupied), Baldur's Gate just let's it …

You can give yourself advantage various ways including Hunger of Hadar which is already one of the best in the warlock spell list. Bladelock is one class where there are major benefits to getting to level 12, as that's where you get the life drinker invocation, allowing you do add your charisma modifier in necrotic damage to melee attacks, possibly resulting in an extra 14 damage per round at 24 charisma, with the potential for even more.

Setting those builds aside, I would hazard that 12 bladepact is competitive with just about any other build when looked at as a 1-12 journey. Might be a bit behind some of the gloomstalker/thief builds, maybe sorcadin, but warlock 12 blade in bg3 is very effective. Probably what I would consider a low-a tier choice.Bladelock Patrons. With the changes to the Great Old One patron, and assuming we'll get identical features for the other warlock patrons at higher levels from the original material, is Fiend still the better patron for Bladelocks? (Let's assume a 1-12 Bladelock). While the Great Old One change is pretty good, I'm not sure whether it makes the ...This Invocation lets you add your Charisma modifier as Necrotic damage to your attacks; for a Bladelock, dealing additional free damage is always helpful, and with multiple attacks, this bonus stacks up. It seems Extra Attack from Swords Bard stacks with Pact of the Blade Warlock's Extra Attack, so you can actually do both by going Fighter (1) / Swords Bard (6) / Warlock (5) for permanent 3 Attacks per Action. But 8/4 for an additional "ability score improvment" is the most solid choice. I will suggest you to go the first 5 lvl paladin, then 3/4 lvl warlock and finally 4/3 lvl paladin again. There are some other oddities to work around. BG3 only let's Pact of the Blade be used with a single melee weapon. So you can't duel wield and still use CHA for all your attacks. And also you can't use a Bow to make ranged use of Flourish to hit multiple targets while still having Extra Attacks or using CHA on attacks. On top of that you get another 2nd level spell slot. 8/4 or 9/3 if the ability the paladin get in bg3 at lvl 9 will be strong. Fighter, assassin, or thief if you want a third subclass but I think going 9/3 bladelock with mystic scoundrel and arcane acuity sounds like a saucy take on the bard scoundrel. You get hold monster at level 9, and plenty of good options prior to that. Paladin 1 is a bit different from table top in BG3. At level 1 they get Lay on Hands, Divine Sense, and a homebrew channel oath that is unique to each subclass. Do note that Paladin gets NO SPELLS till level 2. Extra Resources: Check out r/BG3Builds. Warlock/Paladin combos come up a lot there.
