Why buy coolant for just topping up a tiny amount? I'd use some destilled water be done with it. Smaller amounts won't alter freezing point significantly. If a signifcant amount is missing, I'd search for leaks first. Healthy engines don't suck water. However, I wouldn't mix different coolants on a modern engine anyway. VW G13 is rather cheap.
