Yes. I brought some 22k health and 700 melee, prim saddles when did gamma. Was easy and did not have to worry about deaths. Gamma monkey was easier for me. Alpha broodmother/monkey (Gamma dragon) = 42k HP, 1200 melee, 43 armor saddles.

It will works with lower rexes but if u want to be sure they don't lose much health, that's the way. U can use megatheriums too but rexes will work for other battles too so they are worth. Mine were around 30k 1200 hatch and I leveled them til 100k health 1500 melee

Posted December 5, 2017. we did gamma and beta broodmother with 1 yuty (17k hp, 2k stam) and 19 rexes (30k hp, 450+ dmg, 60 armor saddles). had no problems with those. the rexes lost 10k hp on average. did it with 2 riders (1 on yuty and 1 on a rex) and solo (obv on yuty)We have been breeding enough rexes. Most beta bosses can be done with gen 1 tames if you have insane saddles, 200+ armor. For alphas you'll need some mutated tames. Gen 1 just won't have the health and damage.
