Tonight I was watching some Apple TV and I heard a thumping pop come out of my stereo HomePod area. I couldn’t tell if it was the HomePods initially or my girlfriend in the other room losing a game of chess. But after these 15 Minutes the Homepod suddenly stopped playing music and restarted also being very warm (the mainboard mainly.) I could tell that because I opened the homepod after the apple service told me its not fixable. Has anyone figured out how to fix the flashing volume lights? Homepod is out fo warranty and was told by Apple apprently it’s a hardware issue

The HomePods seem to get warm with those volume lights on. I’ve noticed this and it seems to be a bug when connected to the AppleTV and you’ve played music. You need to quit the music app on AppleTV and the lights will turn off. Unfortunately you will need to do this anytime you ask the Homepods for music since they play from the AppleTV.
