The one in the gun is stiffer. The one that is extra is a weaker spring. If you're having extracting issues use that. They make an even weaker one on eBay for like $8. I had to run that with my suppressor and subs and had zero issues. I just figured out one spring is shorter…I'm assuming the shorter one is the "softer" spring.

Posting this to see if any other GSG 522 owners have had the same problem. I'm using a brand name High Velocity ammo and have completely stripped the gun and thoroughly cleaned and oiled it.
