Duramax ticking noise.

Engine ticking on new 2024 sierra hd duramax. Picked this truck up Monday. About 180 miles so far and noticed this ticking coming from the engine. The Typewriter tick has been in all the Duramax engines.. As the engines get quieter the noise becomes more prominent. Some people do find different brand oil seems to quieten the noise some but experimentation is key for some because not all oils act the same in all engines..

A failure of the hpfp sends tiny little metal bits into the fuel injectors damaging them. I had the oil pan (pacific performance engineering pan )because original pan drain plug is too high and all oil don't drain out. now the noise is gone, I'm thinking the oil pick tube up was hitting the bottom of pan.
