It's really not that confusing. It means that you're more likely to get an exotic drop from a 1840 lost sector. They are rare drops in 1830 and common in 1840. You are only getting exotics from a finite loot pool. If someone wants to farm for rolls lost sectors are an option. It's questionable whether or not lost sector farming is better than Nightfalls. Lost Sectors have a smaller loot pool, but lower drop rates. Nightfalls (at least Master or up) have a high drop rate, but the loot pool isn't limited.Approx. 25% (Legend) and 33% (Master).
