The KOTOR as a whole is not canon, even with the remake. This is mentioned on the announcement article on the Star Wars website. But as mentioned, there are parts of the Old Republic that are canon, like Darth Bane, the existence of a Darth Revan, HK droids, etc... You can consider all Legends content "canon until contradicted".Personally, had it been up to me, both endings to Kotor would be "canon" in a manner of speaking. Revan's identity as a man or woman would be left ambigous, and how Kotor ended, would be a matter of debate among historians in the Empire and Republic, and people who still know of the name of Revan, would have their own opinion who Revan was, and what actually happened with him/her.

Manga, LN, and game go in the same general direction but events play out differently than each other. Dont know much about the LN and the manga skipped BBS, DDD and re:coded to go straight to kh3.
