Before I get into the official grades, one thing that needs to be noted for pre-war collectors is that grading is grading. Just because a card is more than 100 years old doesn’t mean it should be graded on a curve. A 1″ crease on a T205 card is just as significant as it is one on a 2017 Topps Chrome.

The Good. Cheap Pricing – GMA is by far the cheapest semi-reputable grading company out there right now. With prices as low as $6 per regular card and $5 for certified or pack autograph cards, no one is beating them on pricing. At this price point, it doesn’t cost much more than a one touch case to get your cards graded.
But if you go to resell it, I'd remove it from the case and either sell it raw or get it graded by a reputable company first. Also, while BCCG grading is a division of beckett, DO NOT treat those the same as BGS graded cards. A BCCG 10 is likely equal to a BGS 9, a BCCG 9 is likely equal to a BGS 8, etc. The corners were terrible and in no way could be considered a 10. GEM is a scam, they are well known to only grade counterfeit and altered cards. Gem mint with the cut on that card? You can’t rely on the grades and no one is going to pay more for it.
