Yes, it works. LA fitness made me get a tag and sign some papers first though. When I signed up for Active&Fit it allowed me to select multiple gyms. So I started with LA Fitness, Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness. Other than some basic paperwork the process was pretty easy.
