My question is, do I need to be playing the Wellspring activity on the class I want the pattern for? The ones required for that quest need to be completed twice. World drops require 5 resonance completions. Look at your Triumphs under Patterns and Catalysts. It will tell you how many red weapons you need to unlock for each weapon. You do need several patterns for the pattern to be unlocked for certain weapons.
