according to the capacity charts on gm-techlink the oil capacity has been 10 qts. on both 2019/2020 even though the filters changed. The filter on the 2019 L5D is the smaller filter just like the 2020 L5P and it takes 10 qts. as well. I have used 10 qts. on all my dmaxs and they all showed full-- just sayin".

I would never consider a LML after owning a L5P. $1500 to delete a Cummins or LML. $7,000 to delete an L5P. $3,000 to convert from a CP4 to CP3 on the LML. $700+ to level the GMC/Chevy compared to $100 to level the Ram. Personally, I would never consider long-term ownership of a modern diesel with emissions intact.

If it is that tight on there, be prepared for a fight to the death with that filter that is on there. You may need a strap wrench, or a metal band oil filter wrench, or even large oil filter pliers.
