I love walking around and exploring different places. Mostly just stopping and trying new food spots/beach bars. Yes, I agree it is confusing, but on Travel Talk on Line, St Martin, the residents state that it is for all of North America, and there will be no quarantine, they are not happy as they do not have the facilities to accomodate sick people.SXM is a duty free port, so customs is rarely an issue (unlike AXA). I am sure they do random checks and if they have reason to suspect drugs or weapons, but they don't really care if you bring in a pair of NIkes for a friend on the island. The French side is 220V so I would be very surprised if any 120V appliances worked there, but would be fun to watch the flames. Soualigia Lounge at SXM airport. This was a great way to spend time before our flight. This lounge was in the US Airways terminal at Princess Julianna airport. For 20.00 each, you get a comfortable setting, free snacks, soft drinks and wine - newspapers, and free wifi. Very quiet and comfortable.

Every time I go to SXM we de- plane via stairs and walk to the terminal, or take a bus from the tarmac to arrivals depending on where the plane parked. Searched the forums, but haven’t seen any recent updates on the entry experience into SXM. We received our pre-approvals, as the 3 of us are fully vaxxed and boosted. We’re traveling with our young son so are trying to set expectations/ stay ahead of the joys of airport logistics. Per Delta's website they start flying to SXM July 2nd. We don't know how it will be in SXM, or if we want to spend $$$$ if it's going to be stressful. That doesn't sound like a good vacation. SXM did release their 5 phase to reopen plan.
