Growing up, the New Year's twilight zone marathon was a tradition in our house. I don't know what channel it started, but I remember tuning into the Sci-Fi (and later SyFy) cable channel to enjoy it until I moved out and switched to antenna. Happy! has a lot of Star Power going for it, and it seems very 'high budget,' but the hook just didn't grab me for some reason. I love the shit out of Patton Oswalt and Christopher Meloni, but the whole show just feels "fake edgy" to me. The dark and gritty backdrop doesn't 'mesh' with the cartoon characters, the way it did in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
