The advantage the 20" has is a rifle gas system. 16" will do 1k with the right ammo and in the right conditions, but it is definitely at a disadvantage to the 20". Both of those are pretty short barrels. Would really use the ruger SFAR for long range but the 16” with the PA 3x prism is amazing. If you want light, go 16.

The muzzle stops and starts quickly and breaking the trigger on target then getting back on target is no real challenge, especially considering the chambering. It’s a .308 autoloader that’s easy to shoot and extremely easy to carry. Ruger offers the Elite 452 trigger as an aftermarket option for some time. My rifle features this trigger as standard issue. Trigger compression breaks at just at 4.0 pounds. AR 10/.308 AR magazines are not standard like 5.56mm units are. This rifle takes the readily available Magpul PMAG SR 25 magazine.The SFAR will likely take a little modification. Mainly a different handguard to fit a rifle speed gas system. I can’t speak for the victor but Springfield guns are usually adequate.
