It is (as everyone lese here has described) very tubelike, very warm (though detailed). Its the last of the continuous duty amps able to meet FTC standards with out shut down. But it can't drive the extreme load variance of some speakers like newer amps can. If you tie a 4 ohm load to the 8 ohm tap it can't meet specs like the 352 and 501 can.
