Spellstrike counts as two instances of damage, so you can proc sneak attack twice. Starting either way is viable. Have magus be your main class if you want to be a spellsword playstyle with a bit of trickery, have rogue as your main class if you want to be mostly a skillful and tricky martial who can spellstrike once a fight. 3.Twisted tree Magus with monk archetype is one of my favorite characters I've played. Double Slice is a feat you need two weapons to use, not sure exactly how that's applicable to polearms. Pretty much every martial class can use polearms, from a spear wielding ruffian rogue to a Paladin with Ranged Reprisal being able to cover a larger area with retributive strikes. To say one must build with spellstrike in mind is like blaming the champion for using 2h weapons instead of a shield or even worse, picking dex as key ability score. A magus is kinda same with access to all arcane spells. As many will say, it is hard to build suboptimal characters
