Kubota tractor not starting.

Dec 2, 2014 · When you jumped it at the starter you bypassed all the other stuff. Sounds like the problem is in the starter itself. It could be as simple as cleaning and lube. If this is more than you want to tackle, then unmount the starter (after disconnecting battery) and take it to a shop which does starters and alternators. Thanks for your help. It was the PTO lever. It had dropped into the engaged position. I could not get it up out of the position. However, after "working" with it, it finally moved back up, and the tractor started right up. I managed to get out the stump I've been trying to dig out by hand for months. Now I've got to return the loaner for my B20.That's a signal problem of the rear PTO shaft switch. If the wiring harness isn't connected or loose, the starter won't even crank. Same with the little switch on the left rear Fender, if there is one. It also can be a defective switch. My SKid plate was jammed against the linkage so the safety switch would not engage ( only on the reverse side of the pedal was blocked) I removed the skid plate and it started.
