If I can't keep it all sleek and trim looking I won't do it. I have a smith and Wesson 686 with an allchin mount and fastfire ll sight . its all nice and clean , no unnecessary crap on it and I like the looks. Can a red dot sight be put on a GP100 without the need of adding that huge P rail to the top of the gun. I was looking at one and thought maybe you could machine a piece of stainless to fit in where the adjustable rear sight is and then tap a couple of holes in that and mounting a red dot to it.

However, most are not going to practice effective use at regular intervals, and it's going to be little appreciated, or practiced enough for practical use.
